Our agency division is growing—fast—and we are looking for an independent, efficient, and highly motivated Account Manager to help us wow our clients and, ultimately, earn more business.

The Account Executive/Manager will be responsible for working directly with clients to orchestrate and execute marketing campaigns and virtual events. They will work closely with all members of CovalentCareers’ marketing team to produce and promote these campaigns, and will also report on their success.

Client communication and management

  • Regularly interface with clients via phone and email to keep them updated on project statuses and to obtain feedback on deliverables.
  • Track campaign metrics and deliver results to clients.
  • Note: Depending on experience level, may independently manage select client relationships.

Project management

  • Translate client proposals into our internal task management system.
  • Carefully track project statuses and deadlines, and update other team members on what’s needed.

Virtual event support

  • Work with client and internal stakeholders to conceptualize, plan, promote, and host virtual conferences and trade shows.
  • Coordinate logistics with exhibitors, speakers, and attendees.
  • Report on event performance.

Marketing campaign execution

  • Work with client and internal stakeholders to produce engaging and informative campaigns targeting eyecare professionals, ranging from in-depth clinical guides to “day in the life” video interviews.
  • Write project briefs for clients and internal stakeholders.

Marketing campaign promotion

  • Draft marketing emails to promote client content to our database.
  • Work with graphic designer to produce advertising assets and set up digital display, retargeting, YouTube, Facebook/Instagram, and other campaigns.
  • Work with social media specialist to ensure that client brand guidelines/requirements are followed.
 Who will I get to work with? 

We’ve got a team of 15 go-getters here at CovalentCareers. We have a large marketing team and you’ll work closely with all members: our CEO, Associate Director of Client Services, Associate Director of Marketing, Graphic Designer, Managing Editor, and Social Media Coordinator. You will also get to work closely with tons of industry influencers and your clients: representing some of the nation’s largest eyecare companies.

 To succeed in this position, you must be:

1. An excellent communicator: Being an A+ account executive is all about incredible client communication. If you love clearly conveying information and addressing client needs over phone, email, or text, this position is for you.

2. Highly organized: This is a growing department and you’ll need to track many deliverables across dozens of campaigns. Organization skills are a MUST! You must be the type of person who can maintain an organized task list and coordinate deadlines across a department.

3. Independent: Our small team relies on people who can roll up their sleeves and Google/hack/problem-solve/research their way out of most any problem. We won’t hesitate to pitch in when you need help, but we also expect that you will only ask for help after taking a stab (or six!) at the problem yourself.

4. Extremely adaptable: We are a fast-growing company, and with growth comes change. You will be expected to keep up with a dynamic environment and learn on the go. We are constantly adopting new technologies and processes to help us do our jobs better and you must be willing to dig in and adapt—quickly!

Required qualifications:

  • 4+ years of marketing experience, including client management (ideally at a marketing agency)

  • Obsessed with achieving goals and developing your skills 
  • Career-oriented with a desire for advancement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized (Type A!)
  • Experience running ad campaigns: Google Ads (YouTube, SEM, display), AdRoll, Facebook/Instagram
  • Experience drafting and deploying emails
  • Editing and proofreading skills
  • Experience tracking metrics via Google Analytics, Google DataStudio, etc.
